Langrisser I & II
Langrisser can be understood as a tactical RPG. Here you will be controlling a party of heroes up to five in number along with their associated units. The associated units will be nothing other than soldiers who fight with heroes. During combat, there will be a division of maps into squares along with the melee units for getting a place next to opponents to attack. Apart from this, ranged units will be at least one square away for fighting.

About the game
When it comes to acting of one of the characters, the game starts displaying blue color for all the existing squares which are able to reach out in that particular turn. It makes the squares red if it is not possible to reach that particular square. A small sword icon will be shown by the game as an indication of enemies you can attack in that turn.
You should start taping for moving further. In case if you make a mistake or don’t like it, you can immediately tap on your original position. This helps in resetting your position and there is no need to pay any penalty for this. If you want to move a character you can tap on another character.
Game Play
Each and every hero comes with one or more skills. Some of the skills are active skills and some may be passive skills. Skills present are activated using dedicated buttons. The buttons are present at the lower-right corner. Before using them, just tap on them and check what they actually do. There are some which will not come to effect until the fighting actually starts. Some of them may take the place in normal attacks. Hence it is very important to understand the differences. There are some skills that may cool down after one use. But there are some which can be utilized in each and every turn.
Features
There are some neat twists and features in Langrisser which easily stand out compared to all other games. This genre has numerous games and this one stands out easily with its unique features.
- When a cavalry-sword-lance triangle is used, it is possible to switch the class of most of the characters
- This is also true with most of the other relationships that are present between unit types
- The characters can be switched when they actually change their weapon style
- Another unique characteristic is, heroes present here can unlock more and more troop types
- When they unlock troops, you can swap them between these even before the battle begins. So, you can place a lancer in front of some swordsman
- Usually, the troops make some contact with the enemy and so, this is the chance where you can make the swordsman an anti-cavalry unit. Only thing is, you have to retain all his skills
Final words
Apart from all these, there are many interesting characteristics of this game. Along with pseudo-PvP Arena mode, you are able to swap character in almost all the modes. You can swap them in your active team and this must be done before the battle. You can easily see the makeup of your enemies and accordingly, you can tailor your force. By all these, you can come out as one piece.
